Watt Intervals
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: July 19, 2026
Trusty Genius LLC ("we", "us", or "our") provides Watt Intervals for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what the app handles, where that information is stored, when Apple services are involved, and the controls available to you.
Watt Intervals does not require an account and does not send workout plans, ride telemetry, health data, or Bluetooth device identifiers to Trusty Genius LLC. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
Watt Intervals stores the following information locally:
- Workout templates, interval durations, target watts, and target heart rates
- Completed ride summaries and per-second power, cadence, speed, heart-rate, and target-power samples
- Training preferences, including an optional maximum heart rate
- The identifiers and names of Bluetooth devices selected for reconnection
- Whether introductory notices have already been shown
This information is stored using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. The current version has no Trusty Genius account, server database, cloud backup, or cross-device sync.
2. Apple Health and Apple Watch
With your permission, the iPhone app writes completed indoor-cycling workouts and related power, cadence, heart-rate, and active-energy samples to Apple Health. The Apple Watch app reads live heart rate during a ride and creates the temporary workout session needed for collection and communication with the iPhone.
Health information is handled through HealthKit and remains under Apple's and your control. Watt Intervals does not transmit HealthKit data to Trusty Genius LLC, advertising networks, analytics providers, or external AI providers. Health data is not used for advertising, marketing, or data mining.
You can grant or revoke Health access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. Declining Health access does not prevent local ride storage. Deleting a ride inside Watt Intervals deletes the app's local copy; Health workouts can be reviewed or deleted separately in Apple Health.
3. Bluetooth Devices
Watt Intervals uses Bluetooth to discover, connect to, and exchange workout commands and telemetry with compatible FTMS smart trainers and standard heart-rate sensors. Bluetooth communication occurs directly between your devices. The selected device identifiers and names are retained locally to support automatic reconnection and are not sent to us.
4. Workout Descriptions, Siri, and On-Device Intelligence
Workout descriptions are converted into interval plans on the device using a deterministic parser and, on supported devices, Apple's on-device Foundation Models. Watt Intervals does not send workout descriptions or ride telemetry to Trusty Genius LLC or a third-party AI provider.
If you invoke the app through Siri or Shortcuts, Apple may process the voice request and provide the resulting text to the app under Apple's privacy terms. Watt Intervals uses that text to prepare the requested workout and stores the resulting workout only on your device unless you delete it.
5. Purchases
Optional subscriptions are offered through Apple's StoreKit and are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment-card number. The app receives the product information and verified entitlement status needed to unlock purchased features. Apple's handling of purchase and Apple Account information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
6. Information We Receive
The app itself sends no personal data or usage analytics to Trusty Genius LLC. If you contact us for support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use that information only to respond, diagnose the reported issue, protect the service, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or use support correspondence for behavioral advertising.
7. Sharing and Service Providers
Because the app has no Trusty Genius server data flow, we do not share workout or health data with service providers. Apple provides the App Store, StoreKit, HealthKit, Siri, Shortcuts, and optional on-device model capabilities under Apple's own terms. If you email support, ordinary email infrastructure may process the message solely to deliver and store that correspondence.
We may disclose support information when required by law, to address fraud or security threats, or in a business transaction subject to appropriate protections. Any provider processing information on our behalf must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
8. Retention and Deletion
Local workouts and rides remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app and its data. Bluetooth reconnection information and preferences remain until app data is reset or the app is removed. Apple Health records follow your Health settings and deletion choices.
Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain security and business records, and comply with law. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting [email protected]. We will honor verified requests unless retention is required by law.
9. Security
Keeping workout data on the device limits exposure, but no storage method is completely secure. Protect your iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple Account, and device passcode. Bluetooth range and the security of connected trainer hardware are outside our control.
10. Children
Watt Intervals is a general-audience fitness tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
11. Your Choices
You can decline or revoke Health and Bluetooth permissions, avoid Siri, delete individual local rides and workouts, remove Health records in Apple Health, cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account, or remove the app and its local data. The app's core editor and local history do not require a Trusty Genius account.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Watt Intervals changes. We will publish the new policy at this URL, update the date above, and provide any additional notice required by law. Material new off-device data flows will be disclosed before they are introduced.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected]. For product help, visit the Watt Intervals support page.
